We started this website and blog at a time when we felt strongly to get the message out that nature heals and the need to honor Earth. There are many ideas still in the works and it seems we launched it while in social distancing, using the internet and emails to connect to each other. We formed this network of women wanting desperately to bring beauty to the world. When people can see beauty, they in turn know what love is. Beauty touches us in a way that is indescribable. Photography has allowed us to capture that split second moment, and in that instant, from behind the lens, something in the viewfinder just touched our soul.
When you view a photograph or any part, tune into how does it make you feel. What surfaces in you? How does it resonate or not? What is the photographer trying to say with this image? what colors scenes images are you most drawn to? If you can use that line of questioning, you will reach a deeper understanding of yourself. Not everything appeals to each of us and we each need to know what it is we like or do not like. After all, beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
As we move from the focus on the virus to the social unrest spreading across the world, realizing we are all in this world together can put us in a thought process of cooperation and not destruction. Human beings have an enormous capacity to create or destroy. The choice has always been ours. As photographers, we know creation heals and soothes our souls. There is no greater time of need than to heal the very deep wounds of the human spirit as there it exists currently.
People are hurting and we see the hurt in behaviors. The very system we all have to navigate is failing at some very basic human needs levels. The universal language is of symbolism. When we see and understand the meaning, we each can make a choice for a better outcome for ourselves, our community, and the world at large. It can begin with each of us stepping up looking within and begin to be open to understand the mirror reflections fo life. They are meant to be teachers and we humbly are the students.
The dawning of a new day brings with it hope and a shift into higher vibrations. The universal law of correspondence states, ” as above so below, as within so without.” How does this image embody that message for you?
